What is special about BnB DolceVita?
Many travellers want holiday resorts with a special, preferably homely atmosphere. That's why we have made it our mission to create a place where our guests can feel like temporary locals in Palermo. We do this because, in everything we do, we believe that cultural exchange and friendship between peoples make the world a better place.

For whom is the BnB Dolcevita ideal?
Our BnB Dolcevita is ideal for you if you want a room with a local private person and don't want to stay anonymously and impersonally in a hotel. We are locals, born in Sicily and accordingly have insider and secret tips for you. You have direct contact with locals and will get to know the city more intensively and authentically than in a hotel.

Our BnB "Dolcevita" is located in the centre of Palermo at the harbour. The main attractions of Palermo as well as the promenade of Cala Marina are within walking distance. In the immediate vicinity you will find shops, mini markets, pharmacy, hairdresser, bars and much more. Who are the hosts?
We are Eugenio and Adriana, born and raised in Sicily. Eugenio's father opened a small BnB in 1977, which is now run by his brother Sergio. So our family has been welcoming guests from all over the world in Palermo for more than 40 years. And that's how we know: it's not easy to find your way around here straight away and to let go. For this reason, in addition to a room, we also offer you the right service, information and insider tips.

How long has the BnB been there and what is the history?
This is how we came to our BnB: For a while we worked in Germany: Eugenio as a university lecturer in Italian and Adriana as director of Italian cultural institutes. While looking for a residence for our return, we heard that the city wanted to demolish the Palazzo Fenice to build a garage there. We saved the little piece of city history from its car park fate and made it a home for us and our guests.
That was our story. And now you! Become part of it and come and visit us.

The surname, first name, date of birth, citizenship and passport number of each guest are transmitted exclusively to the police in accordance with Italian law. We are obliged to do so.

Until when can I cancel a booking?
You can cancel your booking at any time. Up to 7 days before arrival free of charge. You can inform us of your cancellation in writing or via the e-mail with the booking confirmation. There you will find a link.

What are the cancellation conditions at BnB Dolcevita?
You can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before your arrival. After that, cancellation fees of 50% will apply, or 100% if you wish to cancel your trip one day before arrival.

When can I move into my room on the day of arrival?
You can check into your room from 2 pm.
If your room happens to be free the evening before, we will allow you an early check-in on request.
Please inform our team in advance of your approximate arrival time.
In any case, you can leave your suitcases with us at any time.

You can stay in your room until 11 am.

You will often find free parking spaces directly in front of our BnB.
If not, there is a small private parking garage "Garage Welcome" opposite our BnB.

For check-in, we require an identity card or passport from you. And we also need such a document from every other guest in your room

What do I do if my passport is lost?
If you have lost your passport, the first thing to do is to keep calm and act.Whether it is an identity card or a passport, you are obliged to report the loss of these official documents. You should go to the local police immediately and report the loss. If you are sure that your travel document has been stolen, you must also report it to the police. It is essential that you comply with these obligations, as you may be fined if you fail to do so. How is a room in the Bnb equipped?
Each room has a balcony, some have two.
A spacious wardrobe, fridge, a large bed well above the standard Italian size with two bedside tables, a desk, two chairs, a luggage rack and a modern bathroom with daylight shower.
Our suites also have a sofa with sleeping function for 1 - 2 additional guests.

We have a safe which is centrally operated by us. So you can either keep valuables in your room or leave them with us if you wish.

No, smoking or vaping is not permitted in the rooms or in the building.

Throughout the BnB you can log on to the internet free of charge and surf at high speed. You will receive the access data to the WLAN from us on site directly upon your arrival.
